When Should I Arrive At A Funeral – “Family members”
When should I arrive at a funeral or a farewell gathering if I’m family? It’s up to you. There are two schools of thought. One is that you arrive only a few minutes before, and the reason behind that is you don’t want to actually speak to everyone beforehand.
It can delay the whole process, can cause you more emotional stress, but for others that’s very important. They do arrive really early. So two schools of thought.
Be really early so you can talk to everyone, or in my opinion, you’re better to leave it to just five minutes before. The funeral director will have a space for you to park and he’ll escort you in. You’ll have plenty of time to talk to everybody afterwards.
