So what should you do if someone dies at home? Well there’s two sorts of death, there’s sudden death and there’s an expected death. With a sudden death you would ring the ambulance and they will look after things and they’ll contact the coroner etc but I’ll talk about that in another video. If it’s an expected death you’d ring your medical practitioner and they will sign a certificate as to the cause of death.
Now if you can’t get hold of them ring your funeral director because the funeral director may have other ways of getting hold of your doctor. So there’s two things to do when someone dies at home, if it’s sudden ring the ambulance, if it’s expected ring your medical practitioner and make sure they can sign a certificate as to the cause of death
