OPTION 1. Non-Attended – Direct Cremation
DESCRIPTION:
NON ATTENDED BY ANYONE – Deceased is collected from the place of death, and taken to the crematorium as soon as possible.
This generally means the deceased is taken to the Funeral Home and held overnight while documents are completed. The legal representative attends the Funeral Home to give formal instruction to staff an sign authorities. Staff then arrange documents including: Doctors medical certificate, Death Registration details and medical referee permission to cremate. A time is then set for family to be aware of and the cremation then takes place (all within 48 hours of the death). Following the cremation the death is registered and ashes are available for family to collect.
This is a cremation with no gathering of any sort.
There are no other charges included

When Pre-paid – Package Cost $3,650.00

*NOTES:
1. $300 Account service fee is added if account is not pre-paid
2. If items added, example slide show or service sheets, then not only is the cost of the items added at cost but also a professional service fee of 100 + GST or $200 + GST depending on the amount of service required to complete/attend to the task/s.
OPTION 1a. Non Attended – Direct Cremation + Plus
DESCRIPTION:
This generally means the deceased is taken to the Funeral Home and held overnight while documents are completed.
The legal representative attends the Funeral Home to give formal instruction to staff an sign authorities.
Deceased is then prepared in clothes provided and family can view or spend time with a closed casket in the viewing lounge.
(If anyone wants to attend the crematorium chapel or the funeral home chapel see options 3 or 4)

OPTION 2. Attended Cremation – 35 person maximum
DESCRIPTION:
Often held at Kapiti Crematorium –
and is an informal family/led time.
This generally means the deceased is taken to the Funeral Home by 2 staff and held overnight while documents are completed.
The legal representative attends the Funeral Home to give formal instruction to staff to sign authorities, and outlines other requests.
A time is then set for those invited by the family to gather at the crematorium to say farewell.
A Funeral Director will be in attendance to assist with running the sound system and music provided by the family and any other requirements.
The Funeral Director is also happy to welcome those at the start of the gathering and say final words at the conclusion.
Staff also arrange for the required documentation including: Doctors medical certificate, Death Registration details and medical referee permission to cremate. (All within 48 hours of the death, if more time is required then a preservation option is required and on charged).
(If a celebrant is required and other items for a funeral service,
then option 4 or 5 may be required not this one)
This is a burial or cremation for a small group

Helpful Financial Information
Funeral Prepayments
You may wish to consider pre-paying your funeral. As with pre-organising the funeral, this arrangement can help relieve loved ones of emotional and financial concerns.

Financial Assistance
Accident Compensation Corporation
There is a grant available from ACC for a death by accident. Claims are assessed by ACC, and forms are available through the Funeral Home or local ACC office. Presently the maximum ACC funeral grant is currently $6,021.11
Income Support Service
The WINZ funeral grant may be available to the partner, child, parent or guardian or funeral director of someone who has died, to help towards the cost of the funeral. The grant is currently $1,971.37 and is income and asset tested.
The basic principle applied by WINZ is that you should be using the deceased persons finances to pay for a funeral service. The WINZ funeral grant is only seen as a “top up” towards a funeral account.
