We have just installed an Electric Car charger from Nova at the Kapiti Coast Funeral Home.
The charger is available through their app, and also available for anyone wanting to just come on down and scan the QR code and charge away at good rates.
We try to be a Funeral Home with sound green practices.
We were early adopter of electric cars back in 2016 and we’re onto our second ‘Nissan Leaf’ with our own private charger and solar panels to save on any cost to run (except for the new road user charges).
The good news for our community is, because we are environmentally green focused, we can now share this with the public by way of a charger in
our main chapel car park.
Possibly a 1st for a funeral home in New Zealand!
This also means our wholesale rate is able to be passed on to any users and not just those attending funerals,
open for anyone who wishes to ‘charge up’, when a Funeral is not taking place.
However there is a small issue, they have installed the wrong connector and we now have to wait a couple of weeks for the new one to arrive, so, if you’re keen on using it, just ring me, Andrew, at the Funeral Home and I’ll keep in touch as to when it’s ‘lights on, battery charging’
