Facility Renovation:
The funeral home has undergone a complete 12-month revamp since its original construction in October 2005. Upgrades include new air conditioning, kitchen, fireplace, bathrooms, front doors, foyer tiling, carpet, and natural green décor.
Chapel Seating and Design:
The main chapel currently seats 105 people.
Bifold doors at the back can be opened to extend the space, doubling capacity to 200 seated guests, with additional standing room in the foyer.
The chapel’s entrance is angled so guests arriving late or seated further back feel close to the gathering.Bespoke Furniture: The lectern, casket bearer, and table furniture are custom-made. The lectern is designed to be open and less bold.
Windows and Views:
Windows look out to nature and greenery. A window facing the car park features a display of Kapiti Island to obscure the view while maintaining local framing.
Updated Technology:
The audiovisual setup now features portable microphones, 4K recording cameras, and live-streaming capabilities. Interlinked screens throughout the chapel, foyer, and reception area can display photo slideshows and videos.
Refreshment Lounge & Courtyard:
A dedicated reception area with a modern kitchen is situated off the foyer for post-service refreshments. It opens to an outdoor courtyard, which is planned to double in capacity soon.
