The three Funeral Homes in Kapiti are all members of the Funeral Directors Association of NZ, however, they do not all use the ‘Funeral Trust’ which is a pre-paid Funeral Fund that is totally FEES FREE and is totally transportable between regions should you move.
Unlike Funeral insurance, with a pre-paid funeral plan you won’t keep paying ongoing fees. With insurance often people end up paying two or three times more than what they would have paid in a pre-paid Funeral Plan. Sometimes people choose insurance as you can make regular automatic payments rather than having to come up with large lump sums.

Setting up a plan can be done reasonably easily by one of our five experienced Funeral Directors, you will need to call or email for an appointment at the Funeral Home, and we will help you apply.
You will need to bring with you, 3 types of identification, like, a passport, drivers licence and rates bill. The Funeral Directors can now help you with the full application process required by NZ law.
A prepaid Funeral has a further financial benefit, with $10,000 being exempt from asset testing when assessing eligibility for long term residential care.
The money you pre-pay is held in the Funeral Trust, a National Trust run by the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand.
