Family lead at the Crematorium, at your Home or in one of our Viewing Rooms
This is a cremation where a small group is invited by the family to attend an informal gathering. The gathering generally takes place within 48 hours of the death and is usually held in a venue, such as a family home, funeral home viewing lounge, or Kapiti Crematorium Chapel. The gathering is not led by a celebrant or minister but by family and friends and sometimes the Funeral Director is asked to close with words of committal. This gathering includes booking a venue; funeral documentation; attendance at the viewing; attendance and direction of the gathering. Following the cremation, the death is registered and ashes are available for the family to collect.

• Vehicle Use – Transfer/s of the deceased
• Casket – Plain Pine Plywood Casket – no handles
