Nestled in the heart of Awa Tapu Cemetery, Valley Road Paraparaumu is the beautiful Kapiti Crematorium and Chapel. Situated with a view down the valley to the sea beyond this 35-seater chapel is perfect for those smaller more intimate private gatherings or a time together with close family after the main farewell gathering elsewhere.

In the past, we have run small private tours of the crematorium ‘behind the scenes’ for community groups to see how the process works and ask questions. This opportunity is now being extended to the wider community on Sunday 6th November at 2pm to 4pm with a chance to look and ask questions at the crematorium site, 131 Valley Road, Paraparaumu (in Awa Tapu Cemetery) and then on the way back down the Valley to pop in and see the Main Chapel at Kapiti Coast Funeral Home, at 9 Hinemoa Street, the workings at Kapiti Monumental Services next door at 13 Hinemoa Street, and the Loss and Grief Support Centre (Charitable Trust support service) across the road at 1 Kapiti Road, Paraparaumu.

“We provide total support” which stems from a genuine desire to help and provide complete care for bereaved families leading up to the funeral, and all that this entails, to beyond with post-funeral care including the only monumental workshop in Kapiti and Loss & Grief Support centre, free bereavement support service.

Diary this opportunity now to come and see the many services we provide, and if the date doesn’t suit your family or members of a group to which you belong, just give us a call and we can book a private group tour over the summer.

We are a locally owned, family-owned, independent funeral home, not part of any chain or corporation, proud to be part of our community here in Kapiti. Kapiti in name and solely Kapiti based now for over 30 years. Kapiti Coast Funeral Home, Inc the Kapiti Crematorium.
